What it is
The Sensorium™ Gateway is the core industrial IoT gateway and the Connect module of the 5Tech Sensorium™ family. It connects the BLE smart sensor nodes — the SmartBolt and SafeZone modules built on the BLE Smart Sensor Node Platform — to the cloud and the 5Tech dashboard. It handles MQTT communication, supports local edge processing, and links field devices, sensors, and automation logic. Connectivity is over Wi-Fi / Ethernet, with cellular as a targeted option. A ruggedized enclosure and environmental sealing are targeted (preliminary) and not yet certified.

Figure FIG-002 — Sense → Connect → Decide. The Gateway is the Connect layer.
The Gateway is the bridge between Sense (the sensor nodes and modules) and Decide (the 5Tech Platform — dashboard, pipeline, and automation logic). Sensor data flows up through the Gateway to the Platform; monitoring views, alerts, and rule-based automation flow back — with a person in the loop for any operational decision.
- Sense — the BLE Smart Sensor Node Platform and its modules (SmartBolt and SafeZone), plus the ESP32 Edge IoT Bridge (Phase-1 MVP) that validates the sensor-to-cloud pipeline.
- Connect — the Sensorium™ Gateway aggregates node data and forwards it over MQTT.
- Decide — the 5Tech Platform (dashboard, MQTT/cloud pipeline, edge and automation logic) turns data into monitored insight, alerts, and recommendations for an operator to act on.
- Solutions — Construction Site Monitoring, Industrial Asset Monitoring, Worksite Safety Automation, and Fleet & Mobile Asset Monitoring are built on this chain.
